Biography

Ludovica Rampoldi is one of the most important Italian screenwriters of today and writes for both Cinema and Television. She won several important awards, among which the Davide di Donatello (Italian Oscar).
For the big screen, she wrote for directors such as Marco Bellocchio (The Traitor – in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2019, winner of 6 David di Donatello including Best Screenplay and Best Film), Bernardo Bertolucci (the Echo Chamber script that should have been his last film), Gabriele Salvatores (“The Invisible Boy”, Silver Ribbon for Best Story and Young Audience Award at the European Oscars, and “The Invisible Boy – Second Generation”), Letizia Lamartire (“The Divine Codino” for Netflix), Marco Tullio Giordana (“The Two Soldiers” presented at the Locarno Film Festival 2017), Andrea Molaioli (“The Girl by the Lake”, presented at the Critics’ Week-Venice Film Festival, winner of 10 David di Donatello; “The little jewel”; “Slam – Everything for a girl”, presented at the Turin Film Festival), Ivan Cotroneo (“Kryptonite in the bag”, presented at the Rome Film Festival) and Giuseppe Capotondi (“The Double Hour”, selected in Competition at the Venice Film Festival, winner of the Coppa Volpi, nominated for best first film at the David di Donatello and the EFA).
For Television, she is the co-creator of the Amazon series “The Bad Guy” directed by Stasi&Fontana and “Corpo Libero” (Paramount+), a series directed by Cosima Spender and Valerio Bonelli. She wrote the screenplay for the miniseries “Esterno Notte” by Marco Bellocchio (presented at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and winner of the Innovative Storytelling award at the EFAs). She worked on the first three seasons of “Gomorrah – The Series” and is the co-creator of the Sky series “1992”, “1993” and “1994”. She wrote the Italian adaptation of the three seasons of the series “In Treatment”. Among the projects that will soon see the light, “The Lions of Sicily”, a series directed by Paolo Genovese for Disney +.
