The story of the creative process that leads to the conception of a series, from the moment the director receives the script to the visualization of the final project. Drawing on the references created by one’s own mind, one builds a small dream of how to film the series and what kind of atmosphere, colors, sensations we want to create. Francesca Comencini will talk about the evolution of the journey that starts from this dream and ends with the final version of the project: how much we remain faithful to that initial version that the mind had created, what has been improved in the story, what has been lost and what has been gained along the way from the ideal and solitary conceptualization of the project to the thousand practical, human and productive realities of its realization. The masterclass will focus, in particular, on the creation of “Django”, a new series broadcast on Sky: specifically, Comencini will talk about how she made the first draft, while Meduri will explain the way he conceived the community of New Babylon.
