Kwando is the story of a young fisherman from Angola, affected by his past as child soldier and insecure about his future. He joins a team of international scientists and starts a long exploration on one of the last unknown rivers of Angola. Through hardships, scientific discoveries and his growing interest in birds, he finds hope for a new future, investing in the conservation of his magnificent homeland for the new generations.
