In 2015, a violent earthquake measuring 7,8 on the Richter scale shook Nepal and destroyed Bhaktapur, one of the oldest cities in the state, entirely recognized as Unesco World Heritage and visited by tourists from all over the globe. With time, the bricks production in all the most affected areas grew significantly and every year, thousands of people leave their villages in the dry seasons to work in the factories to contribute to the reconstruction.
