RIFF PITCH LAB is a workshop for the development of documentaries by directors under 35 with citizenship from one of the 28 European Union member countries (in addition to other countries eligible for Creative Europe programs).

The 6 selected projects, divided into 3 for the Open Stories category and 3 for the Green&Blue category, will participate in a workshop led by 4 Master Tutors, internationally renowned cinema professionals. The tutors will help refine the projects, making them ready for the final presentation to international decision-makers, which will take place at the end of the in-person phase on May 7, 8, and 9 during the 2025 RIVIERA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in Sestri Levante, Genoa.

In addition to becoming a European event, the RIFF PITCH LAB this year offers two awards:

• The Open Stories Award
• The Green&Blue Special Award (Green&Blue Award)
