RIVIERA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2020 CLOSING EVENING WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY IN SESTRI LEVANTE. SPECIAL GUEST: CLAUDIA GERINI

The Italian actress will receive the RIFF Icon Award, which the festival gives every year to an important person in the movie industry. The winning film and documentary of this year’s digital competition will be awarded during the event.

SESTRI LEVANTE (GE) – The countdown is coming to an end: Saturday, August 29th, Riviera International Film Festival’s closing evening will take place in Teatro Conchiglia in Sestri Levante. The event is dedicated to “rebel” and independent movies made by international under 35 directors and its fourth edition was held in digital format, due to the health emergency caused by Covid-19.

RIFF’s special guest Claudia Gerini will award the winning film and documentary. The Roman actress will also receive RIFF Icon Award, which the festival gives every year to an important person in the movie industry, to crown her success in the artistic field.

RIFF’s winning film and documentary will be screened on Saturday evening at Teatro Conchiglia in Sestri Levante (in original language with Italian subtitles) and the event, already sold-out for three days, will be open to the public in compliance with current health regulations. In case of bad weather, the winners will be announced in the former Convento dell’Annunziata in Sestri Levante, also in compliance with all current prevention rules, which provide for the mandatory use of mask for all people attending the award ceremony.
