We all understand that our planet is in danger: pollution, climate change, migrations spurred by war and desperate social conditions, extreme economic disparities, lack of infrastructure and financial resources to fight global pandemics. One of the endeavors of our festival is to raise awareness in today’s institutions and tomorrow’s generations of what our planet must face to improve the quality of our future.
For this reason, the 2018 edition will include a permanent special section devoted to the screening of 5 documentaries of at least 40 minutes in length, dealing exclusively with environmental and social issues, made by national and international directors, without age limits. The documentaries submitted must have been completed by the year before the festival. Films that have already participated in other festivals are welcome as well as those that have already been distributed.
